Rest assured that any appointments that clients have prebooked beyond June 15th will remain booked. No need to rebook them.

We are reopening Monday, June 15th !!

After a long wait, and much anticipation, Essential Elements will be resuming services as of June 15th.

Clients will have to answer pre-screening questions regarding COVID-19 symptoms, travel, and social contact before making an appointment, as well as 24-hours before their appointment. If you feel sick, please protect others by staying home and contacting 811 regarding your symptoms.

Our therapists will be masked while within the clinic, and for the duration of your treatment. And strict cleaning guidelines will be followed according to provincial standards.
Clients will not be required to wear masks, but are welcome to do so if preferred.

Almost there!

Mandatory protocols for Massage Therapy/Massage Therapists have been approved by the Chief Medical Officer of Health in Nova Scotia.
We are now in the process of meeting these standards.

While we are optimistic about opening soon, it would be irresponsible for us to do so prematurely, before those standards have been met.

Re-Opening Still Pending

Firstly, we are flattered that so many have reached out so quickly as to the date and circumstances of our reopening. We miss you, as well.

As many have heard, Nova Scotia has set June 5th, 2020 as the date for reopening businesses and the economy.
While this is promising, the final word from the Chief Medical Officer of Health has yet to be given regarding the Massage Therapy profession. The various Massage Therapy associations active in Nova Scotia are working closely with the officials to finalize the best protocols of which to adhere upon reopening Massage Therapy services.

So, while you and we are eager to return to “health care with a personal touch,” we still cannot at this time announce the date of our reopening.

Rest assured that once we do know anything further, we will announce it via our communication platforms.

CORVID-19 Let’s do this as a community

We hope this update finds you all well.

We have been keeping an eye on COVID-19 updates, as I’m sure many are.
No official word has been given to Massage Therapists (and other extended health care practitioners) to suspend their services. While we can take every precaution to sanitize our office and treatment rooms and ourselves, we cannot ensure complete sanitation. Also, massage therapy inherently breaks the social distancing protocols advocated for by Public Health Canada. Other countries have already suspended Massage Therapy services due to their current levels of infection. Further distancing and isolation measures are being suggested and advocated on nearly an hourly basis.

Due to these factors, and encouragement by health care professionals regarding “flattening the curve” of CORVID-19, we cannot in good conscience remain open. We announce this with concern for our community and already-taxed health care system, and hope that all will understand our decision.

We will be contacting all our clients scheduled for the next 3 weeks, and rescheduling them for after the recommended self-isolation.
We will set our tentative date for reopening as April 6th, 2020.

We will be checking our messages (voice, email, messaging) periodically if anyone has any questions regarding this decision or their continuing musculoskeletal health.

We wish our clients, client’s families, and our community all the best during this tumultuous time. See you all in 3 weeks.

No New App…

To assuage any confusion, there is no app for our new online booking software.

You can access it from either our Facebook page, or our website’s Pricing or Contact tabs.

Welcome to our new booking software, powered by SoapVault. Please find the “Book Now” buttons on our webpage (see Pricing or Contact tabs) or our Facebook page.

You will be asked to create an account using your email, and will be able to book and cancel appointments.

New Online Booking!

As we enter a new year, so too will we be using a new online booking software. So, delete that Mindbody app from your phone.

There will be a temporary removal of online booking from our Facebook and homepages while we integrate the new software.
However, you can always just call or message us on Facebook in the interim.
